Philosophy:
As a pediatrician dedicated to nurturing the health and well-being of your child, I understand the whirlwind of emotions and questions that come with parenthood. With a blend of expertise and empathy, I strive to create a comforting environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered in your journey as a parent.
With a focus on preventative care and wellness, I believe in fostering healthy habits from the very beginning. Whether it’s guiding you through those early milestones, offering advice on nutrition and sleep routines, or addressing any concerns you may have, my goal is to provide comprehensive care that promotes your child’s growth and development. I will also continue to support your parents journey as your child moves through the tween and teen years and the new challenges that can arise during this time.
Beyond medical expertise, I aim to build strong, trusting relationships with both you and your child. I believe in open communication, active listening, and collaborative decision-making, ensuring that you feel confident and informed every step of the way.

Education & Training:
I am a KC local! I attended Blue Valley Schools throughout my childhood, graduated from K-state, and completed medical school at the University of Kansas. My pediatric residency training was completed at Children’s Mercy Hospital where I also served an additional year as Chief Resident. I have been serving as a pediatrician in the KC community since 2009 and am proud to have partnered in the opening of Leawood Pediatrics in 2011. I am currently accepting new babies and siblings of established patients. I am on staff to care for newborns at Overland Park Regional and Advent Health Shawnee Mission.
My personal life:
I have been married for 20 years to my husband, Ryan. We share two teenage sons, a labradoodle named Whitney, and a home in Overland Park. Outside of spending time with my boys, I am dedicated to my yoga practice, walking my dog, reading, and gardening.

Dr. Megan Loeb, MD, FAAP
Hello, I’m Dr. Loeb, and I’m thrilled to be part of the compassionate and dedicated team at Leawood Pediatrics. As a pediatrician, my journey into the world of healthcare began with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from Kansas State University. I then pursued my medical education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where I gained the knowledge and skills to care for children’s health.
I further honed my expertise during my residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital, and I’m proud to have completed a chief resident year. This experience has equipped me with the tools and leadership to provide exceptional care to your children.
In addition to my professional life, I am a family person at heart. I am married and have a teenage daughter, and we share our lives with two crazy dogs. I understand the joys and challenges that come with raising a family, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Outside the office, I’m passionate about quite a few things. You might find me pedaling away on my Peloton, experimenting in the kitchen, creating unforgettable memories at Disney World with my family, volunteering in the community, and spending time with my church. These interests help me maintain a balanced and fulfilling life, which in turn, helps me provide the best care for your children.
I’m currently accepting new babies and siblings of established patients. You can also find me on staff to care for newborns at Overland Park Regional and Advent Health Shawnee Mission. Your child’s health and well-being are my top priorities, and I look forward to being a part of your family’s healthcare journey.

Dr. Aundria Speropoulos, MD, FAAP
Dr. Aundria Speropoulos, MD, FAAP
Dr. Aundria Speropoulos, MD, FAAP, is a compassionate pediatrician with over 18 years of experience in providing comprehensive care to children and their families. She earned her medical degree through the combined BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed her pediatric residency at St. Louis University Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. As a mother of five children aged 4-19, Dr. Speropoulos utilizes her firsthand experience, along with the most up to date education, to focus on building relationships to help children and families thrive. She loves helping young families navigate the early stages of parenthood, as well as guiding them through the challenges and triumphs of adolescence. In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, cheering her kids in their various sports, lifting weights, caring for her five pets and rooting for the Chiefs!

Dr. Ryan Steele, MD
I am the newest physician at Leawood Pediatrics! I am honored and so excited to have the opportunity to work with kids here in Kansas City. I’m passionate about high quality and comprehensive care for children of all ages. I prioritize family and patient-centered decision making, ensuring that every child’s unique needs are met with compassion and expertise. I will work to ensure that your child is the happiest and healthiest that they can be by providing excellent care and consistently supporting you are as a parent.
I graduated with honors from the University of Kansas with a degree in Human Biology. After that, I pursued my medical education at the University of Arkansas, where I earned by my MD and a Master of Public Health. I then completed my residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and I was honored to then serve an additional year as Chief Resident. During that time, I gained valuable leadership experience and further developed my clinical skills.
While I have a particular interest in sports medicine, I genuinely enjoy all aspects of pediatrics, from newborn care through adolescence. I believe that the best way to care for patients is to meet the individual needs of each child and family, working together as a team to do what’s best for every child.
On a personal note, I’m married to my wonderful wife, Ryland, and we welcomed our son in late 2023. Experiencing the same milestones as a parent that so many of my patients go through has been incredibly enriching. In our free time, we love going to the lake, taking ski trips, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Dr. Putul Allen, MD, FAAP

Dr. Allen grew up in Texas and still believes in southern hospitality. After attending Texas A&M University, she went to medical school at the University of Texas at Southwestern in Dallas and completed her pediatric training at Cincinnati Children’s in Ohio. She has been in private practice for nine years prior to joining our office. She is married with two teenage boys, enjoys traveling with her family, good food and photography. Dr. Allen is now accepting new patients and new babies, and is on staff to see newborns at both Overland Park Regional and AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
Dr. Angela Gatz, MD, FAAP
Dr. Angela Gatz, MD, FAAP
Dr. Angela Gatz is a dedicated pediatrician who has been caring for children and their families since completing her medical training. A native of Prairie Village, Kansas, Dr. Gatz attended the University of Kansas for both her undergraduate and medical degrees. She then completed her pediatric residency at the University of Iowa, graduating in 2012.
Now back in her hometown, Dr. Gatz lives with her husband and their four children. She takes great joy in reading, writing, cooking, and doing crafts with her daughters. Outside of her practice, she is actively involved in her church and her children’s school, reflecting her commitment to community and family life.
Dr. Gatz treasures the opportunity to build lasting relationships with families and finds immense fulfillment in watching her young patients grow and thrive. Her approach to care emphasizes warmth, understanding, and a genuine connection with every family she serves.
Dr. Lisa Godfrey, MD, FAAP
Dr. Lisa Godfrey, MD, FAAP
Hello! I’m Dr. Godfrey, and I am honored to be a part of the Leawood Pediatrics team, where I have the privilege of providing care for your children. My journey in medicine began at Saint Louis University, where I earned a degree in Biology, followed by my medical education at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. After graduating, I moved to Kansas City and completed my Pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital, where I developed a strong foundation in pediatric care.
Before joining Leawood Pediatrics in the Spring of 2023, I spent several years working in the Children’s Mercy Emergency Room. This experience ignited my passion for acute care medicine and helped me develop expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of illnesses and conditions. At Leawood Pediatrics, I work in our Same Day Sick Clinic, using these skills to care for your children during their sick visits.
On a personal note, I live in Kansas City with my partner and our German Shepherd, Atticus. We love spending time with our nieces and nephews, traveling, hiking, and exploring the local Kansas City food scene, particularly trying out new restaurants and coffee shops. I’m also a huge sports fan and enjoy watching the Chiefs, Royals, and the Indiana Fever. Originally from Saint Louis, I cherish visiting my family whenever I can.
Although it’s never fun to have to go to the doctor when feeling sick, I am committed to providing compassionate, top-notch care for your children.

Dr. Mary Nagy, MD, FAAP
Dr. Nagy is one of seven children and grew up in northwest Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She has enjoyed practicing medicine since 1986 and now sees children of former patients! Her most outstanding accomplishment is balancing practicing medicine with motherhood. She is married and enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family and friends. Dr. Nagy is accepting new patients and new babies, and is on staff to see newborns at both Overland Park Regional and AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
