We are conveniently located at the southeast corner of Nall and College Boulevard in Leawood, Kansas with easy access to I-435.
We have a completely renovated office space with front door parking and a private entrance for visits.

Policies

At Leawood Pediatrics, we want to ensure that every family has a positive and efficient experience. To help us provide the best possible care, we ask that all patients and families follow a few important policies:

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment and call in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel. Missed or late appointments may be subject to a fee.

Health forms, school forms, and medical records require advance notice for completion. Many forms are available on our website for your convenience.

Requests for prescription refills should be made during regular business hours. Refills may take up to 48 hours to process.

We offer after-hours nurse triage through Children’s Mercy for urgent concerns. Please note there is a fee associated with this service.

Leawood Pediatrics requires patients to maintain a card on file for any co-payment, co-insurance, deductible, or charges that may not be covered by their health insurance. You will have the opportunity to add your card during pre-visit registration, or with a member of our front desk team. If you have a co-payment due, this amount will be collected when you check in for your appointment. If an additional balance is due after your insurance processed the claim, you will receive a notification via email of any balance due and the dollar amount that will be charged to your credit card on file. Your card will automatically be charged 7 days after you receive the notification which will be between the 20th and 30th of each month. If you would like to use an alternate form of payment, please call our office during business hours. You will receive an electronic receipt from LP. Insurance EOB’s serve as confirmation of any amount due to our office. If you would like a copy of your statement, please contact billing at (913) 825-3627, option 5. If you receive a statement, the card on file is either invalid or is not on file for every dependent.

All patients are required to follow the AAP-recommended vaccine schedule. Families who do not vaccinate cannot be seen in our practice.

These policies are in place to ensure that we can dedicate our time and resources to caring for your child in the
safest and most effective way.

Insurance & Billing

We accept most major insurance plans and are happy to help families understand their coverage. Since benefits can vary by plan, we recommend contacting your insurance provider before your child’s appointment to confirm participation and coverage.

Co-Pays & Deductibles:

Co-pays and any applicable deductibles are due at the time of service.

Statements:

Monthly statements are sent for any balances not covered by insurance. Payments can be made online through the patient portal or by phone.

Billing Questions:

Our billing team is here to help you navigate insurance claims, payments, and account questions. Please reach out if you need assistance understanding your statement.

Newborn Coverage:

Be sure to add your newborn to your insurance plan as soon as possible after birth to ensure coverage of medical visits.
